Wildwood Guitars

Since I was eight I have been interested in Rock'n'Roll and Elvis Presley's music. At 15 I bought my first guitar from my pocket money and my first band were The Crazy Crows, founded in 1993. The idea of building guitars came into my mind in
2000 for the first time with my dream of a Hawaiian guitar. But then I tried my hand at building a jazz guitar: the sides consisted of a wooden frame glued together, top and bottom of the guitar were door panels from an old wardrobe made of pine wood with a neck completely made of beech. That didn't look too bad. Alas, the sound was a catastrophe! Looking at the mix of materials any guitar-­?maker would have thrown up his hands in horror. This was followed by some restoring and re-­?modelling jobs, then my first steel guitar. Today I'm specialized in electric guitars and lap steel guitars. But see for yourself…
